Can Power BI connect directly to Dynamics 365 Business Central?
Yes. Business Central has a built-in Power BI connector and standard APIs. For anything past a few simple reports, we build a proper data model on top of those APIs so the numbers stay consistent and refresh on a schedule.
How do you get Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations data into Power BI?
It depends on your data volume and what you already have in place. Smaller needs can run on OData data entities. Larger companies usually get better results from a Microsoft Fabric or Synapse Link feed. We recommend a route on the first call, before you pay anything.
Will the Power BI numbers match our trial balance?
That is the standard we hold ourselves to. We reconcile financial reports to the trial balance in Dynamics before handoff, and we show you where any difference comes from.
Do we need Microsoft Fabric or a data warehouse?
Not always. Many Business Central companies do fine with Power BI Pro and a well-built model. If your data volume or number of legal entities means you need more, we will tell you why before recommending it.
What does Power BI for Dynamics 365 cost?
